This office has been involved in various projects with Eugene Malatynski of Ultra Modem Construction and Civil Works, ranging from large complex industrial and commercial developments, to concrete and civil works, within the South West of Western Australia. One such construction was the repairs and alterations to storage sheds at the Bunbury Port, at Iluka, and at Allnut Court. These works have involved the deconstruction of portions of the building to allow replacement of damaged members, the reconstruction of the portion of the building. In the case of Allnut Court storage buildings, temporary propping was placed to allow the permanent removal of intermediate lines of structure following substantial strengthening of adjoining structure. This was quite a difficult job to perform, and required pre-loading of structural frames to ensure correct alignment when released. Eugene has also been involved on the deconstruction and demolition of the Newton Moore High School buildings, Bunbury Nissan and Total Eden Building, and Clark Rubber Buildings. In dealings with Eugene Malatynski of Ultra Modem Construction and Civil Works during these works and previous works, while Eugene contracted with local demolition company J & P Group, Civil & Structural – Engineers have found Eugene to have a sound knowledge of construction, and deconstruction/demolition, and an understanding of the most complex of structural detailing. Eugene has always been at the forefront of these detailing requirements to ensure the final construction is achieved without compromise of structural integrity.
